A support worker and participant sharing a joyful moment outdoors — compassionate, dignified care

Built on Belief.

Care should feel like family. Not as a tagline but as a standard. We hold ourselves to it on every shift, in every conversation, through every difficult moment. That is the only way we know how to do this work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our NDIS services and how to get started.

Can families be involved in care and support planning?
Yes. Family involvement is actively encouraged, with the participant's consent. For participants with a legal guardian or administrator, we communicate directly with that person as required by their orders. Families are not chased for updates — we contact proactively.
How is staffing and rostering managed?
Every staff member receives a participant-specific induction before their first shift — covering that participant's de-escalation protocol, medication requirements, communication preferences, and daily routine. The registered nurse is on call 24/7 for clinical escalation.
What areas do you provide SIL in?
Our primary area of service is Adelaide Metro — Mawson Lakes, Salisbury, Para Hills, Elizabeth, Modbury, and surrounding northern suburbs. We also support participants in greater South Australia. Contact us to discuss your specific location.
Can you support participants with forensic or complex backgrounds?
Yes. Forensic SIL is a specialist service line at Nurse Aid. We have documented protocols for participants under SACAT orders, Community Treatment Orders, parole conditions, and FMHS discharge. We do not accept referrals we cannot safely support.
How do I refer a participant to Nurse Aid?
Use the Refer a Participant form on our website, email intake@nurseaidaustralia.com.au, or call 1300 413 663 directly. For complex placements, call first — a peer clinical conversation before formal referral is always welcome.
Who is eligible for your SIL services?
Participants who have NDIS funding for Supported Independent Living and require daily support — including those with complex needs, forensic backgrounds, high-intensity psychosocial disability, or complex physical care requirements. Contact us to discuss your situation.
